QUALIFYING CONDITIONS

At EZmedcard NY, we believe in providing accessible and compassionate care to individuals seeking a New York Medical Marijuana Card (NY MMJ Card). We are pleased to inform you that as of January 24, 2022, the requirements for specific conditions to qualify for a medical card have been dropped in the state of New York. This means that physicians now have the flexibility to prescribe medical cannabis for any condition if they believe it may benefit the patient.

In addition to the qualifying condition, patients are required to prove their New York residency by providing a valid driver’s license or state identification card. We are delighted to share that the state has permanently waived the medical cannabis card application fee, eliminating the financial barrier for patients.

Upon approval by the state, patients will receive a temporary registration card to use while the state prepares and sends them a medical cannabis state card, ensuring they can access the necessary treatment without delay.

These are some of the most common conditions that may benefit from medical cannabis:

  • Chronic Pain
  • Neuropathy / Radiculopathy
  • Cancer
  • PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
  • Epilepsy
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Huntington’s Disease
  • Acute Pain Management
  • Dystonia
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Autism
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Spinal Cord Injury With Spasticity
  • General Anxiety Disorder
  • Depression

Approval and Certification Requirements for Patients Under 18

At EZmedcard NY, we understand that medical cannabis can provide relief and improve the quality of life for patients under 18 years of age. If you fall into this category, there are specific requirements to ensure the well-being and safety of young patients.

Parent or Guardian Approval:

If you are under 18 years old, your parent or legal guardian must provide their approval for your medical cannabis use. We prioritize open communication and collaboration between healthcare providers and parents/guardians to ensure the best care for young patients.

Certification by Two Certifying Health Care Providers:

Patients under 18 seeking a medical cannabis card must be certified by two healthcare providers. At least one of these providers must be a pediatrician or pediatric specialist, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s needs and medical history in children’s medical care.

We strive to create a safe and supportive environment for young patients seeking the benefits of medical cannabis. Our team of compassionate healthcare professionals is experienced in working with pediatric patients and their families, providing personalized care and guidance throughout the application process.
