In West Virginia, a patient with a prognosis of being terminally ill, having a life expectancy of less than one year, is automatically eligible for medical marijuana. Besides this, the following conditions are recognized as qualifying conditions:
Qualifying Conditions for Patients Under 18
For individuals under the age of 18 with a serious medical condition, a West Virginia Medical Marijuana Card can be obtained through a caregiver. Caregivers for minors can include parents, legal guardians, individuals chosen by a parent or guardian, or those approved by the DHHR (Department of Health and Human Resources).
